12-29-2023

The first two city-level advertising industry parks in Shanghai were inaugurated in Putuo and Qingpu districts on Tuesday.

The two parks, both of which focus on digital transformation, are located in the Shanghai Zhenru subcenter and the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Integration Demonstration Zone. They are designed to build a collaborative industrial ecosystem with deep integration of government, industry, academia, and research as well as the aggregation of key resources.

According to the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the recognition of these two parks has created a a tiered system of national, municipal, and district-level advertising parks in Shanghai, serving as a crucial support for enhancing the city's advertising industry capabilities.

The market share of its digital advertising industry hits 91.6 percent. In the first 10 months of 2023, the park's advertising companies generated operating revenue of 11.488 billion yuan, and employed some 2,000 people in the advertising and related industries.

The Yangtze River Delta Ecological integration demonstration Zone (Shanghai Qingpu) Digital Advertising Industry Park is located in the "Mobile Smart Land" (3938 Huqingping Highway). The park's core area currently operates four buildings with a total area of approximately 7,100 square meters. Approximately 80% of the park's tenants are engaged in the advertising industry or directly related industries. In the first 10 months of 2023, the park's advertising companies generated operating revenue of 2.11 billion yuan, and employed nearly 1,500 people in the advertising and related industries.

Since the beginning of this year, Shanghai has made significant progress in the construction of advertising industry parks. The city now has one national advertising park, two city-level advertising parks, and 12 district-level advertising parks. This has helped to create a "1+X" development pattern for advertising industry parks in Shanghai, and has had a significant impact on the clustering of upstream and downstream industries in the advertising industry in these areas.
