(Promulgated by Decree No.3 of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government on

June 6, 2008)

With a view to further expediting the transformation of governmental functions, reforming the administrative system, and constructing a service-oriented government, Shanghai Municipal People’s Government has decided to cease the implementation of relevant provisions concerning administrative operating charges in eight municipal regulations.

Relevant provisions decided to be ceased for implementation are:

1．The provisions of Articles 5, 8, 9 and 10 of the“Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on Use of Lump Sum Charges for Land Requisitioned for National Development”on the“administrative charges for requisitioned land”and the“unforeseen charges”.

2. The provisions of Article 7 of the“Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Inspection for Hidden Perils and Supervision over Repairing of Town Privately-owned Houses”on the“charges for inspection and appraisal”.

3. The provisions of Clause 2, Article 39 of the“Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Travel Agencies”on the“charges for the administration of quality guarantee deposit”.

4. The provisions of Articles 6, and 30 of the“Implementation Rules of the Provisions of Shanghai Municipality on the Protection of Aquaculture”on the“charges for idle fishery waters”.

5. The provisions of Articles 16 and 17, Clause 3 of Article 19, Clause 2 of Article 20, Articles 22, 23 and 24 of the“Implementation Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Levy and Use of Charges for the Propagation Protection of Fishing Resources”on the“administrative charges for cultivation protection”.

6. The provisions of Article 16 and Clause 1 of Article 36 of the“Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Quality Supervision and Administration of Construction Projects”on the“charges for quality supervision”.

7. The provisions of Article 30 of the“Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Cemetery”on the“charges for cemetery administration”.

8. The provisions of Article 28 of the“Provisions of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Individual Households of Industry and Commerce”on the“charges for the administration of individual households of industry and commerce”.

This Decision shall be effective as of July 1, 2008.
