Large-scale Farming
The city has made continued progress in large-scale farming. By the end of 2005, there were 420 modern agricultural businesses and 310 farmers’cooperatives that employed more than 400,000 households and operated 100,000 hectares of land. The proportion of large-scale farmlands accounted for 45.9% of the city’s total grain planting areas.
