1¡¢Pass the tour guide exam and obtain Tour Guide Certificate;
2¡¢Sign employment contract with travel agency or register in tour guide
management service institution;
3¡¢When travel agency needs temporary tour guide for tourist task, it shall
apply to the Municipal Tourism Administrative Commission for Temporary Tour
Guide Certificate. Person with one of the following conditions can engage in
temporary tour guiding activities:
£¨1£©With certain, special linguistic competence;
£¨2£©Students or graduates of college or vocational school of tourism or
related majors;
£¨3£©Lose the Tour Guide Certificate.
4¡¢Persons who hold the Tour Guide Certificate issued by tourism
administrative department of other province or municipality apply for tour guide
certificate shall be handled according to the related national regulations.
1¡¢Once obtained the tour guide certificate and intends to be practitioners,
the individual can submit practitioner application to Municipal Tourism
Commission through the contracted travel agency or registered tour guide service
company.
Application documents include:
£¨1£©Applicant¡¯s Tour Guide Certificate;
£¨2£©Employment contract between the applicant and travel agency or the
registration document in the tour guide service company;
£¨3£©Applicant¡¯s ID card and replicate, original diploma certificate and
replicate.
2¡¢The municipal shall make evaluation decisions within 15 days after
receiving the application, and issue tour guide certificate to approved
personnel, and notify to the objected individual in written form.
3¡¢Tour guide with one of the following conditions applies for continuous
practice, shall apply for re-issuance of Tour Guide Certificate:
£¨1£©Sign contract with another travel agency or register in another tour guide
service company;
£¨2£©Through qualification evaluation, obtain a higher grade tour guide
certificate;
£¨3£©For tour guide expiring the three-year valid period and in need of
re-issuance, the application shall be submitted three months prior to the
expiration of the tour guide certificate. The application formalities shall be
handled according to the procedures of issuing tour guide certificate.
