He who has finished the training periods can appoint for examination by the training certificate and the examination will be arranged in 20 days; he who fails will have a makeup examination in 10 days; he who fails the makeup examination can re-appoint a re-examination after 30 days.

The applicant of Driver License of Motor Vehicles shall submit the application to the vehicle administration of the permanent residence place; he who stays in the temporary stay or residence for more than 1 year shall apply to the vehicle administration of the place of temporary stay or residence. The applicant shall be qualified in physical conditions. The applicant of Driver License of large passenger vehicles, large freight vehicles or trolley bus shall has a height of no less than 155cm; he who applies for the first time shall be aged 21 to 45 for large passenger car and trolley bus, 18 to 50 for large freight vehicle and 18 to 60 for other type of vehicles. The eligible applicants can submit the application to the vehicle administration and go through the formalities.

a. fill the Application Form of Driver License of Motor Vehicles; b. produce ID, passport, Military (Police) Officer Certificate, Soldier Certificate, Temporary Residence Permit, Temporary Stay Permit and the photocopies; c. digital photos; d. qualified in physical examination; e. qualified in the examination of transport law and relevant knowledge; f. bring the training certificate for the formalities; g. have finished the required training cycle and period, and be qualified in the examination of required subjects;; h. go to local branches and sub-branches of traffic and patrol police for the Attachment of Application Form for Driver License; I. after receiving the formal Driver License, deliver the Attachment to local branches and sub-branches of traffic and patrol police within one week. The examination: a. go to training spots of transport laws and relevant knowledge for study and examination of relevant knowledge. The passing score of the examination is 90. After receiving the training certificate, go for driving tests of roads in field, pattern driving and roads outside the field, where one test can only be taken after passing the previous ones. b. for driving study of large passenger cars, large vehicles, small vehicles and others, the examination can be appointed after 60, 40, 30, 20 days and other required study periods, respectively. c. People taking the examination will be registered collectively by the motor vehicle driver training institutions.

For the application of Driver License, the Driver License Reception Counter of Dabaishu Vehicle Inspection Field of the Vehicle Management Agency will manage individual and collective training separately. Those in compliance with the regulations will be granted the training certificate after passing the examination of transport laws and regulations and relevant knowledge. (For those holding Temporary Residence Permit of Shanghai, when apply for Driver License, written reply of inquiry from the vehicle administration of the applicant’s permanent residence place shall be produced). Those who hold training certificate and have learned the driving techniques will be conferred with Driver License after passing the examination.
