The transfer-out formalities of motor vehicle drivers will be finished within 1 working day.

Shanghai residents holding Temporary Residence Certificate to living in other province or municipality for 1 year or above, residents from other province or municipality and applying for Driver License of Shanghai, or holder of Driver License of Shanghai whose residence registration is transferring from Shanghai to other province or municipality.

a. Fill the form of alteration;

b. Submit the identification, Temporary Residence Certificate to live in other province or municipality for 1 year or above, or transfer certificate of residence registration, etc;

c. Application Form of Driver License of Motor Vehicles (Attachment);

d. Valid Driver License.

Archive section, vehicle administration of Headquarter of Traffic and Patrol Police, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau will receive the transfer-out of motor vehicle drivers, verify the archives, input the location of transfer-in into the computer, print the List of Registration Items of the Driver License of Motor Vehicles and deliver to General Section for approval and steal stamping; the sealed archive will be taken back by the license holder (invalid if opened without permission).
