Business scope

Formalities of theft loss of motor vehicles except for SH C and SH D portable motorbikes in suburbs and counties

A. Fill the Registration Form of Cancellation due to Theft Loss of Motor Vehicles, and the requirements are:

1. Fill the whole course of theft loss according to the facts;

2. Stamp the seal of the organization (sign by the owner personal for private vehicles);

3. Comments and stamp of the public security agency that receives the report of loss;

B. Go to the vehicle administration section of the district (county) branches and sub-branches of traffic and patrol police for Registration Form of Motor Vehicles (copy);

C. Apply for statement in newspaper in report of theft;

D. Take the Vehicle Registration, certificate of case reporting, Registration Form of Motor Vehicles (copy), receipt of statement in newspaper, Registration Form of Cancellation due to Theft Loss of Motor Vehicles, Registration Certificate of Motor Vehicles (the identification of the owner of the motor vehicle if the Registration Certificate of Motor Vehicles is not issued) for registration formalities of loss reporting, the owner of the pledged vehicles shall produce the certificate of pledgee, and the vehicles sealed-up by the court shall first be released by the court before registration of theft loss;

The report of theft loss of motor vehicles will be received by the Archive section, vehicle administration of Headquarter of Traffic and Patrol Police, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau (except for SH C and SH D portable motorbikes in suburbs and counties). After reception, the relevant information will timely input into the computer and documents timely archived.

Notes:

A. If the stolen motor vehicle is not found 1 year after the registration of cancellation due to theft loss, for vehicle of organizational use, the representative shall take the original copy of the ID, the original copy of Certificate of Enterprise Code, purchase receipt of the new vehicle, Registration Form of Cancellation due to Theft Loss of Motor Vehicles, Registration Certificate of Motor Vehicles; and for private vehicles, the owner shall take the original copy of the ID and Registration Form of Cancellation due to Theft Loss of Motor Vehicles, Registration Certificate of Motor Vehicles and the purchase receipt of the new vehicle to the original registration counter of loss reporting for computer sorting of stolen vehicles;

B. After the sorting, the owner can go to Pudong Vehicle Inspection Field for registration formalities of the new vehicle in 10 days.

C. After the registration of loss of motor vehicles, if the owner finds the original vehicle and the licensing quota for the stolen motor vehicle is not used, please take the retrieval certificate of stolen vehicles issued by the public security agencies to the public security agencies to write off the record of theft loss of vehicles. 4 working days after the write-off of the case, take the following certificates for restoration formalities:

1. Registration Form of Cancellation due to Theft Loss of Motor Vehicles;

2. A set of monotype of the engine number and chassis number;

3. One photo of the vehicle (to make the Vehicle Registration);

4. The retrieval certificate;

D. If the monotype of the steel stamp number or color of the vehicle does not correspond with the original archive, please go to the Headquarter of Criminal Investment of Shanghai for expert testimony, and go to the vehicle administration for restoration after material evidence inspection (refer to paragraph 1 and 4 and the report of material evidence inspection), and fill the registration form of motor vehicle alteration registration form. After approved, go to Pudong Vehicle Inspection Field for relevant alteration formalities.
