Domestic motor vehicles completed with the formalities will be handled within the day.

a. Vehicles given to organizations or individuals of Shanghai through the sentence, arbitration or conciliation of People’s Court;

b. Vehicles of large enterprises (groups) coming from other province or municipality and investing in Shanghai;

c. Vehicles for personal use of citizens from other province or municipality and whose residence registration has moved into Shanghai;

d. Vehicles for personal use of people from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and investing in Shanghai;

e. Vehicles transferred to Shanghai due to organization offices cancellation of foreign investors from other province or municipality;

a. For vehicles given to organizations or individuals of Shanghai through the sentence, arbitration or conciliation of People’s Court, the sentence, arbitration and conciliation decision of People’s Court and corresponding Notice of Enforcement Assistance shall be produced;

b. Large enterprises (groups) coming from other province or municipality and investing in Shanghai shall produce the notice from Shanghai Office of Cooperation;

c. Citizens from other province or municipality and whose residence registration has moved into Shanghai shall produce the Residence Registration Booklet of Shanghai;

d. People from foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and investing in Shanghai shall produce valid Temporary Stay Permit, Temporary Residence Permit, and Certificate of Taiwanese Compatriot;

e. For vehicles transferred to Shanghai due to organization offices cancellation of foreign investors from other province or municipality, the documents on close-up and cancellation shall be submitted;

f. The vehicles shall not reach the limit of discarding;

g. The actual condition of vehicles shall be in compliance with the archive;

h. Vehicle supervision by the Customs shall have been rescinded;

i. The motor vehicles shall not come from theft or robbery;

Note: Apart from Large enterprises (groups) coming from other province or municipality and investing in Shanghai, freight vehicles shall not be transferred into Shanghai.

After the verification, the Application Form of Transfer, Transfer-out and Transfer-in of Motor Vehicles is given, and the inspector will examine the vehicles and stamp seal in specified column of the Record of Motor Vehicle Registration Procedures when the vehicle is qualified, and finally the license issue organ will input the data into the computer, issue the number plate, and print relevant certificates and forms.
