What are medical evaluation meetings?
(01/15/2003)

These are meetings held by the special evaluation teams. Separate meetings are held with the patient and his family, and with the doctors and/or medical workers.
The team meets first with the patient's side. During the meeting, the patient and family give details of the case and orally report their justifications.
Following this the team meets with the doctors and/or medical workers to hear the hospital's explanation of the case and any other replies or arguments to the patient's claims.
A final meeting is held for team members only to make a unanimous decision on whether the incident is a medical accident and to produce the evaluation report.
