The application shall be processed and wound up within 7 working days

Hong Kong or Macao residents who lose their Hong-visiting Certificate for Compatriots from Hong Kong or Macao or Pass for Hong Kong and Macao Residents Traveling to and from Inland Areas in Shanghai can apply for reissue of a new one.

1. To present for examination the evidence certifying the applicant’s temporary residence in Shanghai or the proof on his accommodating in guesthouses or hotels in Shanghai;

2. To present for examination temporary residence permit for Hong Kong or Macao Residents and for Overseas Chinese (those staying in Shanghai for less than 3 months are exempted);

3. To submit an Application Form;

4. To submit 3 2’’barehead front-view colored pictures which are taken recently;

5. To submit document proving the loss case issued by public security department ;

6. To submit certification proving the applicant being a Hong Kong or Macao resident;

7. Other certifications assumed to be submitted by the entry and exit administration organs.

The application is accepted by Entry-Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai; with approval after examination work is done on the application, the applicant shall be issued an entry-exit permit which is valid for one trip.
