There are eight prerequisites: 1. The couple must be older than 30 2.
The couple must have no children of their own 3. The couple must have the
ability to raise and educate an adopted child 4. The couple must have no
diseases that are medically considered inappropriate for adopted parents 5.
The husband and wife must agree on adoption 6. If a single male citizen is to
adopt a female child, he must be more than 40 years older than the adopted
girl 7. The adopted child must be aged below 14 8. A couple or an
individual can adopt only one child Citizens apply for an adoption in the
district or county Civil Affairs Bureau. |
