You can apply for a temporary ID card in the following cases:
1. You need a temporary ID card as a proof of your identity in outside activities before you get an official ID card.
If you lose or destroy an ID card, you must apply for a new one according to the regulations. Before you get the new one, you may apply for a temporary ID card with a three-month validity period if you will participate in specified outdoor activities and will need prove of your identity.
2. You are a citizen below 16 years of age and your permanent residence is yet to be decided, and you do not yet have an ID card and your residence is unregistered, and you cannot have your current residence registered or move to another place in the near future. In this case you can apply for a temporary ID card with a one-year validity.
