What is subrogation inheritance?
(01/15/2003)

This is when grandchildren take the place of deceased parents in inheriting a grandparent's bequest.

There are three requirements for subrogation inheritance:
(1) The subrogated person must have predeceased the predecessor
(2) The subrogated person must be the offspring of the predecessor
(3) The person granted the subrogation inheritance right should have a lineal blood relationship with the subrogated person
