What if the arbitration applicant is not present at an arbitration hearing or leaves midway through the proceedings?
(01/15/2003)

According to the arbitration law, the applicant must attend the hearing at the appointed time if he has been informed in writing. If the applicant cannot attend at the appointed time because of special circumstances, he should ask for postponement. If he does not attend or leaves midway without the approval of the arbitration court, the applicant will be considered to have withdrawn the case.

If the accused doesn't attend the hearing or leaves midway through, the case will be handled normally and the accused will be considered absent.
