Where common passport, Entry-Exit Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Pass for Hong Kong and Macao or Pass of Chinese Mainland Residents to and from Taiwan is lost in Shanghai, the person concerned can report the loss to the police station or entry and exit administration office of the public security branches on district or county level of the place where the said certificates are lost; where passes for residents from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan regions, passports or travel certificates of foreigners are lost, the person concerned can report the loss to Entry- Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and apply for relevant entry and exit certifications.

1. Where common passport of the P. R. China, Entry-Exit Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Pass for Hong Kong and Macao or Pass of Chinese Mainland Residents to and from Taiwan is lost in Shanghai, the person concerned can report the loss to the police station or entry and exit administration office of the public security branches on district or county level of the place where the said certificates are lost; where entry-exit permits for residents from Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan regions, passports or travel certificates of foreigners are lost, the person concerned can report the loss to Entry and Exit Administration Bureau of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau.

2. The person concerned shall present a written report explaining how the certificates are lost;

3. After the organ accepting the loss report does examination work, document on the loss case shall be issued, which shall be stamped with the official seal of the organ.

Note: Where foreigners report the loss of their certifications, the certifications on temporary residence shall be presented; if necessary, public security organ also requires their entry certificate.
