How are informants protected?

(1) Their personal and democratic rights and other legal rights are protected by law.
(2) The Procuratorate must handle and examine the case confidentially, in fixed locations and using authorized personnel. Other people are not allowed to hear or inquire about the case. The process of handling cases, including receiving mail and telephone communications, registration and record keeping must be confidential and use a clearly defined system of responsibility. Documents and other materials should be kept strictly confidential and safe from loss. The name and addresses of informants and the content of the information must be kept strictly confidential and cannot be copied. Informants cannot be traced by any company or individual and their place of work cannot be revealed when a reward is granted.
(3) Anyone who violates the rules set out in paragragh 2 will be penalized, and may be held criminally responsible.
(4) No company or individual can suppress, hinder or create difficulties for an informant or retaliate against him
(5) Anyone who retaliates against an informant is subject to punishment
(6) An informant can file suit against someone who retaliates against him to request compensation for economic loss, damage to reputation or bodily harm
