Procedure: To publish veterinary medicine advertisement, domestic producers shall fill out "Checking Form for Veterinary Medicine" and submit the following documents:
(I) Business license of the producer and other production permit and qualifications.
(II) Approval Code for the production of veterinary medicines issued by agriculture and animal farming administrative departments.
(III) Product inspection report issued within the past three months by Shanghai Municipal Veterinary Medicine Administration Office Department of Animal Feed Inspection and Supervision.
(IV) Veterinary medicine quality standard approved and published by administrative departments and product description.
(V) Other documents as stipulated by laws and regulations proofing the authenticity of the advertisements.
To publish veterinary medicine advertisement, foreign producers shall fill out "Checking Form for Veterinary Medicine" and submit the following documents and their Chinese translations:
(I) Business license of the producer and other production permit and qualifications.
(II) "Permit on Imported Veterinary Medicine Registration"
(III) Product description
(IV) Power of attorney for the publishing of veterinary medicine advertisement.
(V) Other documents as stipulated by laws and regulations proofing the authenticity of the advertisements.

Notarization documents with the stamp of relevant departments of countries of origin shall be submitted if copies of documents are submitted.
Handling Procedure:
(I) Shanghai Municipal Veterinary Medicine Administration Office will check all the documents as well as the advertisement. "Notice on the Preliminary Decision on Veterinary medicine Advertisement" will be issued after the application receives preliminary approval.
(II) After receiving preliminary approval, the applicant shall submit samples of advertisement to Shanghai Municipal Veterinary Medicine Administration Office.
(III) Shanghai Municipal Veterinary Medicine Administration Office will make final decision. If the application is approved, a "Checking Form of Veterinary Medicine Advertisement" and approval code of the advertisement will be issued. Applicants who fail will be informed and given reasons for the rejection.
(IV) Applicant can also apply for direct final approval.

Duration of Handling: Shanghai Municipal Veterinary Medicine Administration Office will make its decision within seven working days after the receipt of all the documents. For applicant who apply directly for final approval, decision will be made within ten working days after the receipt of all documents.

Qualification of Applicants: (I) Applicant: Those who want to publish veterinary medicine advertisement. (II) Requirement: "Permit on Veterinary Medicine Production" and approval code of the product shall be indicated clearly on the advertisement. "Permit on Imported Veterinary Medicine Registration" shall be stated on the advertisement of imported veterinary medicines.
