Application procedures: The accepted applier shall pay the patent charge onsite or through bank or post remittance. The date of paying the patent charge is defined according to the Laws of Patent, its implementation details, and the related regulations.
1. In case of paying the patent charge onsite, the date is the day in that the payment is made in the agency. The payer shall fill in the payment list accordingly as the accounting voucher.
2. In case of paying through bank remittance, the date is the day in that the money is transmitted. The bank remittance sheet and list work as the accounting voucher. If the bank remittance sheet contains no necessary payment information (the patent application number and the type of charge), the date shall be the day in that the correct payment information arrives.
3. In the case of paying through post remittance, the date is the day in that the money is transmitted. The copy of post remittance sheet works as the accounting voucher. If the post remittance sheet contains no necessary payment information (the patent application number and the type of charge), the money shall be returned directly, and the original date of remittance will not work after the return.
4. Upon receiving the payment by the party, do accounting with the computer charging system provided by the Patent Office of State IPR Bureau, and print the receipt in 4 copies. The 1st copy and the 3rd copy shall be mailed to the charge function of the Patent Office of State IPR Bureau, the 2nd copy shall be given to the payer onsite or by mail, and the 4th copy shall be bound to the accounting voucher.
Handling procedures:
1. The payer fills the payment information in the payment list.
2. The agency charges the payment and print the receipt according to the information provided by the payer.
3. The payer checks the printed payment receipt and the money exchange.
4. The agency sends the 1st copy and the 3rd copy of the payment receipt by mail to the charge function of the Patent Office of State IPR Bureau in the next day, and telexes the payment information to the charge function of the Patent Office of State IPR Bureau in the meantime.

Note:
1. Charge of the application fee, the invention maintenance fee, the invention check fee, the review fee, and the annual fee 3 years after patent grant can be cut off.
2. For charge of the application, the invention check and the annual fee 3 years after patent grant, the cut-off ratio is 70% in case of service invention, and 85% in case of non-service invention. For charge of the invention maintenance and the review, the cut-off ratio is 60% in case service invention, and 80% in case of non-service invention.

1. Accept the domestic patent charge that the applier (the patent holder) or the agent institution pays.
2. Don't accept the international patent or PCT-related patent charge (the international patent charge works in the case that the patent applier is not a Chinese, or is the legal person from Hong Kong, Macro or Taiwan).
3. Types of acceptable patent charge:
1) Charge for applying the patent of invention, the patent of utility model, or the patent of shape design (including the printing fee for the patent of invention).
2) Additional charge for applying for patent (the additional fee for specification, or for the right claim).
3) Charge for applying for essentially checking the patent of invention.
4) Charge for patent registration (including the stamp tax).
5) Patent annual fee.
6) Late fee for the patent annual fee.
7) Charge for applying for resume of patent right.
