Application procedure: The producing enterprise registered in Shanghai for technical safety protection products and the enterprise as sales agency of imported technical safety protection product shall apply to the Technical Safety Protection Office of Shanghai Public Security Bureau for inspection of product model and fill in the "Shanghai Application Form for Inspection (Entrusted Inspection) of Technical Safety Protection Products".
Execution procedure: The Technical Safety Protection Office of Shanghai Public Security Bureau shall assign staff or entrust the local Technical Safety Protection Office of district/county Public Security Branch Bureau to pick up samples at the warehouse or storage place of finished products of the applicant enterprise since receiving the application. The samples shall be submitted to the legal inspection institution for model inspection as per national standard or industrial standards.

Time limit: For the application with the application documents full and in conformity with relevant regulations，the Technical Safety Protection Office of Shanghai Public Security Bureau shall finish picking up and sealing the sample within 3 working days.
Applicant's qualification: The producing enterprise of technical safety protection products applying for "Approval of Registration of Production of Technical Safety Protection Products" (hereinafter referred to as "Approval of Registration of Production") and the agent enterprise applying for the "Registration Certificate of Sales of Technical Safety Protection Products Produced at Other Chinese Place or Imported and to Be Sold in Shanghai" shall follow this procedure.
