Application Formalities:
(I) Application Form of overloading transportation
(II) Name, weight, size and overall description of the goods.
(III) Brand, type, self weight, axial weight, torsion, number of wheels, tire pressure and overall shape of the vehicle and other relevant information.
(IV) Starting and ending location, designed route and time.
(V) Vehicles commuting permit and its copy.

Handling Procedures:
The transportation company shall submit its application according to the following requirements.
I. For vehicles whose gross weight is less than 40,000 kg, but whose total height is more than 4 meters, whose length is more than 18 meters and whose width is more than 2.5 meters, the application shall be submitted fifteen days before the actual transportation.
II. For vehicles whose gross weight is more than 40,000 kg (excluding 40,000 kg), and cargo trucks whose gross weight is more than 46,000 kg (including 46,000 kg) but less than 100,000 kg, the applicant shall submit its application one month in advance of the actual transportation.
III. For vehicles whose gross weight is above 100,000 kg (excluding 100,000 kg), the application shall be submitted three months before the actual transportation.

Note: According to Article Eleven of "Measures on the Administration of Overloading Vehicles", costs incurred due to the testing, proving, fixing, renovation and accompanying carried out by highway administrative departments shall be born by the applicants.

Qualification of Applicants: Application registered in Shanghai that needs overloading transportation can submit the application. Transportation on roads within the administration of one departments shall be submitted to relevant district and county level highway administration departments.
