Application for introducing overseas TV programs (including TV programs jointly made with foreign organs and introducing overseas satellite TV programs)

Application formalities: I. Applicants for introducing overseas TV programs (including TV programs jointly made with foreign organs) should submit the following materiasl:
1. Name and amount of overseas TV programs to be introduced;
2. Materials on producer background of the overseas TV programs to be introduced;
3. Investment sources of producers of the overseas TV programs to be introduced;
4. Copies of certificate on copyright and of letter of attorney of distributor of the overseas TV programs to be introduced;
5. Time, frequency and channel and period of time for broadcasting the programs;
6. Opinions from organs to broadcast the programs.¡£
II. Applicants for introducing overseas TV programs through satellite transmition should submit the following materials:
1. A brief introduction on the overseas satellite TV organ whose TV programs are permitted to be introduced to China by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television;
2. Documents on agreement reached with oversea satellite TV organs on using materials for program making;
3. Application form on TV subject arrangement of programs introduced from abroad in the manner of satellite TV.  

Transaction procedures: 1. Those introducing overseas satellite TV programs as their program subjects are to file in the application at the end of November each year to transaction department, who is to produce an opinion on examination within 15 day from the day when the application is accepted. Those getting approved are to be reported by the transaction department to State Administration of Radio, Film and Television for examination and approvel;
2. Applicants to introduce overseas TV programs are to file in the application to transaction department, who is to produce an opinion on examination within 15 day from the day when the application is accepted. Those getting approved are to be reported by transaction department to State Administration of Radio, Film and Television to be put on record.

The transaction is based on: 1. "Regulations on Administration of Radio and Television" (Decree 228from the State Council issued on August 11st, 1997);
2. "Regulations on Administration of Introducing and Broadcasting Overseas TV Programs issued by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television" (Decree 10 from State Administration of Radio, Film and Television issued on Feburary 3rd, 1994);
3. "Notification on Administration of Receiving Overseas Satellite TV Programs" (issued by State Administration of Radio, Film and Television on November 23rd, 1995).
