Application formalities: 1. A written application; 2. To submit
evidentiary materials consistent to application requirements
Transaction procedures: to apply for set-up of a cable TV station, the
applicant should file in an application to the transaction department (if
locality of the applicant is at suburbs, he should file in an application to
radio and television administrative bureau on district or county level, which is
to produce an opinion on the examination work). The transaction department in
charge of the application for cable TV station set-up should, within 10 days
from accepting the application, make a decision on wether to approve the
application or not. Only those getting the approval can prepare to establish the
cable TV station. On the close of construction, the transaction department
conducts the acceptance check of the construction work; after getting accepted,
a "Permit on Cable TV Station" will be issued to the applicant and the cable TV
station can get into operation. Charging standard and its basis:

16th, 1990); 2. "Detailed Rules on Implementing Provisional
Measures on Administration of Cable Television" (Decree No. 5 issued by the
State Administration on Radio, Film and Television on April, 20th, 1991)

equipment certified to be qualified by the administrative departments of radio

the national technique standard; 4. Have fixed place for
broadcasting programs. The service range of cable TV
station that applicant applied to operate must not go beyond the administration
range of the unit to which the TV station belongs to. |
