The major duties:

To safeguard social security order and put an end to the acts that jeopardize the social security order.

To administrate public traffic, fire fighting and trades of dangerous articles and special trades.

To administrate affairs of residents’household, nationality, and entering or leaving the country as well as the affairs related to foreigners’residence in this country.

To administrate the activities of gathering, parade and demonstration.

To supervise and administrate the security work of computer information system.

To direct and supervise the public security work of state organs, mass organization, enterprises and institutions as well as major constructive projects, to direct security and safety work of security committee and other organizations of the masses.
