If the returned Overseas Chinese plans to bear a child in Shanghai, he/she must provide his/her valid passport and the ID Certificate (Overseas Chinese) issued by the district/county Overseas Chinese Office of the current residence, or the Overseas Chinese Identification Certificate issued by the Chinese embassy stationed abroad, the certificate to show he/she has no or only one child and all relevant material, and go to the district/county Overseas Chinese Office of the current residence to go through the procedure.
