If an insurance participant incurs medical expenses that can be reimbursed by the Medical Insurance institutions in Shanghai or in his/her original workplace organization, they may provide a duplicate copy of medical expense receipts.

If he/she cannot get the above expenses reimbursed or provide the related documents, they must provide the original copy of their medical expense receipts when applying for the subsidy for high medical expenses at one’s own private cost, as the rules and regulations define.
