According to the requirements stated in the Regulations of the Shanghai
Municipality on Labor Contracts, for workplace organizations (employers), these
regulations are applied to any and all legally incorporated enterprises under
the different forms of ownership:
Individually owned enterprises; government-sponsored institutions managed as
enterprises that form labor contract relationships with employees;
state administrative agencies;
government-sponsored institutions;
social organizations that establish labor contract relationships with working
personnel recruited under the State executive establishment in the
administrative territory of the Shanghai Municipality.
Please note: legally incorporated enterprises here also include those without
independent corporate capacities.
For employees, these regulations are applied to any and all employees of or
above the statutory employment age, meeting the employment prerequisites
prescribed by both the State and the Shanghai Municipality, and with the labor
means to establish or form labor contract relationships with the abovementioned
workplace organizations (employers).
