(1) The legitimate ID certificates for aliens to reside in China permanently shall be used independently if aliens have acquired the right of permanent residence in China.

(2) Aliens who have acquired the right of permanent residence in China can enter and exit China by effective passports and Permanent Residence Permit for Aliens.

(3) Aliens who have been approved the right to reside in China permanently, according to the relative legal regulations, can choose places of life and work or workplace organizations all on their own without processing any formalities or submitting for examination any relative certificates. Nevertheless, they shall submit reports if they have had residence registrations or established their own offices or residences according to The Law of the PRC on the Entry and Exit of Aliens.

(4) Aliens who have been approved of residing in China permanently before the implementation of this act shall replace their Permanent Residence Permit for Aliens at the public security office where their original Permanent Residence Permit was issued from the moment of this act being implemented.

(5) Aliens who have been approved of residing in China permanently shall reside in China for not less than three months of every year.
