When was the network secretariat in the Asian-Pacific region of the UN Information and Communication Technology Task Force set up in Shanghai?

The network secretariat of the UN Information and Communication Technology Task Force was set up in Shanghai in June 2002.

On November 11th 2001, hosted by General Secretary Kofi Annan, the Information and Communication Technology Task Force was formally founded by the UN. Five regional network nodes were set up successively. China vigorously supports the UN to promote the development of information and communication technology. In June 2002, the network node of the Asian region was formally founded in Shanghai, China, with the Regional Cooperation Office for City Informatization undertaking the daily work.
