Han meets Korean and Danish delegations

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng met a delegation led by Kim Wan-joo, Governor of Jeollabukdo, Korea, at city hall yesterday evening.
"Since the friendships establishment, Shanghai and Jeollabukdo have extended cooperation in economy, business trade and other fields. At present, many people from Korea are studying and living in Shanghai, and many Korean companies are investing here," said Han. He also added that he believes Kim Wan-joo's visit to the city would further enhance their relations.
Kim Wan-joo thanked Shanghai's citizens for their hospitality. He said he hoped that Shanghai and Jeollabukdo would further strengthen their cooperation in economy, education and culture.

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng also met a delegation led by Maersk Mc-Kinney Moellor and Rasmussen, ex-chairman and current chairman of the board of A.P. Moeller Maersk Group, Denmark, at city hall yesterday afternoon.

"Shanghai is speeding up construction of its international shipping center, which is in great demand and stands as a symbol of China's reform and opening-up, as well as its economic development. Shanghai welcomes international groups like Maersk to join in the construction," said Han.

He also compared Maersk to an International Aircraft Carrier, as Maersk's management experience is worth learning. Han also said Shanghai welcomes Maersk to take part in the construction of the Yangshan Deep-Water Port.

Moellor and Rasmussen expressed their willingness to further cooperate with Shanghai.
