"The power of the government is entrusted by the people; the interest of people is above all," as Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng promise in his inaugural. Guided by the Shanghai Party Committee, the city's new leadership vows to strictly perform its official duties; to make significant progress in self-improvement, and to intensify the shift of its role from administrative to public service. The Shanghai government will build itself into a service government that would share with the people all their happiness and troubles; a solid responsible government that is efficient, honest and diligent; a law-abiding government that respects legal system and rules strictly and impartially.

The 2nd Internship Base for Disabled Youth to Be Founded in Shanghai This Yearend

11/23/2004

Disclosed by Shanghai Municipal Association of Disabled People on Aug 9th, the 2nd internship base special for disabled youth is in prompt preparation, and is expected to come into official service in Nov if everything goes smoothly. The base will mainly provide the training courses of cleaning and cooking to the disabled youth.
It's said that there's only 1 internship base for disabled youth in Shanghai at present, which was founded by Shanghai Municipal Association of Disabled People and McDonald Co., Ltd, last year.
"The insufficiency of internship bases is another bottleneck for the disabled youth to find jobs", Zhou Zhuhua, Director of Employment Office of Shanghai Municipal Association of Disabled People told the journalist. As in all the disabled young people that meet the employment age every year in Shanghai, there're more than 300 mentally-retard ones, so only 1 internship base is far below the requirements by the disabled youth.
