11/23/2004

Do you one of this year's graduates and meet difficulties in finding a job? The jobseekers with the permanent residence registration in Shanghai and the education background of junior college or above may try to use the job-seeking subsidy coupons issued by the government for professional "headhunter" service. News came on July 25th from Shanghai Job Agency Center that Shanghai Professional Jobs Online had "taken in" more than 100 social agency institutions since the government issued the job-seeking subsidy coupons a year before, and about 1000 jobseekers had found jobs through the governmental "payment" to headhunter services.
In order to build the market-based and socialized new system of employment improvement, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Security has introduced more than 100 social job agencies through qualify assessment since last July, which have been authorized to run the job agency business on Shanghai Professional Jobs Online. The government pays for the successful job recommendations by these social agencies. Once an agency helps a professional to find a job, it will be paid with a job-seeking subsidy coupon valued as RMB500. In this way, the ordinary jobseekers can afford the professional, one-to-one "headhunter" job agency service at no cost of his own, while encouraging the development and competition of social agency institutions.
Up to now, the social agency institutions have publicized more than 75K jobs accumulatively on Shanghai Professional Jobs Online.
