Ever since China opened up to the world in 1980's, the Shanghai Municipal Government, led by the Communist Party of China and the State Council, makes great effort to build the city into an international economic, financial, trade and shipping center. 50000 International Professionals Found Jobs in Shanghai

Disclosed on this June 7th by Shanghai Custom that from this Jan to May 5243 international professionals had applied for the employment certificate in Shanghai. At present about 30000 international professionals from about 140 countries and areas are working in Shanghai with the employment certificate, only 10000 less than those in Beijing. Till now, accumulatively more than 50000 international professionals have applied for the employment certificate in Shanghai.
In all the international professionals having permanent jobs in Shanghai, more than 80% are working in the multinational companies and foreign-investing offices. More than 3600 of them are senior managers or even general managers.
