To provide more convenience to passengers who want to call taxi, Shanghai tai industry built ten new taxi calling station and taxi stands on Huai Hai Road Middle and Bei Jing Road East. These intelligent stations even have electronic screens. As long as the passengers press the calling buttom, taxi drivers who are far away will be able to receive the call and arrive on time. Shanghai Urban Transportation Bureau will strictly implement the "Action Plan on Decent Behaviors to Welcome World Exposition in Shanghai" and will encourage the 100,000 staff in the urban transportation industry to promote the decent traffic behavior in Shanghai.

Local citizens complain a lot about buses that enter the stations randmly. So a lot of efforts have been made in the bus and taxi industry in Shanghai to regulate the behavior of drivers. Bus drivers have to park in the front if there is no bus ahead, have to follow the first bus if there is one and have to park along the road. They can't stay at the station for too long, can't park in a slanting way and can't in parallel with other buses. Taxi drivers have to abide by traffic laws as well. They can't park anywhere they want, they have to behave decently and they can't change lanes randoml. These professional regulations are published on the Internet and local citiens who give relevant complains will be given a prize. In the first quarter of this year, the law-breaking rate of bus drivers and taxi drivers declined by 26 % and 12% respectively. There are fewer buses that park randomly at bus stops and 51 local citizens who made complaints have been awarded.

Joint efforts have been made by bus enterprises and the society to create an nice traffic environment. In the 23 decent traffic hub and 84 terminal stops in People's Square, Shanghai Railway Station, Nan Pu Bridge and Cao Xi Road, during rush hours ( 7:00 - 8:30, 15:00 to 18:30), passengers have to get on the bus one by one. There ar clear service guidances at these stations and traffic coordinators are there to find seats for senior citizens. At the same time, the bus industry worked together with Jie Fang Daily and set bus No. 49 as a model line so as to encourage passengers to give away their seats to those who ned the seats on the 2,798 buses of more than 100 bus routes. Shanghai Municipal Ethical and Moral Improvement office and Huang Pu District Government launched a "Zero Kilometer" campaign in People's Square and it worked with Pu Dong New Area to organize some white-collar workers to promote decent traffic behavior in subways. The office worked together with Yang Pu District Government to launch the "dandelion action" to promote decent traffic behavior and worked with Xu Hui District Government to launch the "Decent Traffic Behavior in Xu Hui District to Welcome World Exposition".

At the same time, the municipal urban traffic bureau has worked continuously to improve hardware facility. Starting from lst year to the end of April this year, a total of 3,200 buses have been changed, among which 1,300 are high-end buses with TV, electronic bus plates and computer control broadcasting systems.

The subway stations have also been improved, with new guidance symbols installed, elevators for disabled person equipped on Line Two and Three and information service system been applied at stations of Line One and Two and in the compartment.
