Integrated into Social Associated Inquiry System for Credits, Credits of Insurance Salespersons in Shanghai will Be Made Public

From July 1, Shanghai citizens can acquire the information of the insurance salesperson, including name, insurance company served and the historical award and punishment record, only by dialing the number 62077206 to input the professional certificate number. As one of the important projects in the construction of credit systems in Shanghai, Individual Profession Credit Information System for Insurance Salespersons in Shanghai was opened to the public finally after two years of preparation. It is learned that it is the first time for a city to establish a special credit system for insurance salespersons and integrate such credit system into the social associated inquiry system for credits.

It is introduced that 17 life insurance companies has participated in this system at present. For insurance salespersons, whether to provide personal profession information is completely up to their own willingness. However, up to the 25th day of last month, 29385 insurance salespersons signed "Letter of Undertaking for Creditable Services" with their companies, authorizing the company to open their personal information and profession credit information to Shanghai Social Associated Inquiry System for Credits. The proportion of the salespersons signed the "Letter" reached to over 90%.

Although the personal profession credit information system for insurance salespersons is only applicable to life insurance salespersons, with the gradual perfection of this system, more information, such as insurance company, broker, senior management and policyholder, will be recorded in the system. Furthermore, a layered coverall insurance credit system will be finally formed in Shanghai after several years.
