five minutes after leaving the home
In the future, the dwellers in shanghai
will get more and more accustomed with rail traffic line, and would be enabled
to transfer the rail traffic train as easily as they transfer the bus. After
five years of effort, by the year of 2007, shanghai will have completed
constructing rail traffic line of approximate 400 kilometers.
The city
traffic administration bureau indicates that, by the year of 2005, the
proportion of rail traffic in public traffic passenger transportation system
will increase from the current 10% to nearly 25%, the rail traffic will strive
to be the primary part of the public traffic by the year of£²£°£²£°, and the
passenger capacity will reach£±£²million passenger time£¯day, parallel to that of
the bus. By the year of£²£°£³£°, the number of rail traffic lines in shanghai would
be 17, nearly£·£¸£°kilometers and£³£¸large transferring center stop, and each dweller
would be able to reach a rail traffic stop five minutes after leaving home.
Featured in personified design
Personified design will be the feature of
the future rail traffic. Nine key stops of all the 133 stops will be the
transferring center stops in the future:, they are: shanghai railway station
stop, shanghai south railway station stop, Hongkou football stadium stop,
Jing¡¯an temper stop, Longyang stop, Xujiahui stop, oriental road stop, people¡¯s
square stop and Changshu road. In these transferring centers, the passengers can
transfer minimum of two subways of different lines, and maximum of four.
Transferring within the stop enable passengers to easily transfer another
subway within one stop by crossing the access or even a few steps. However, you
may transfer the subway outside the stop. You have to walk out of the stop,
through the access and into another independent stop.This is a necessary
connection of the underground stop and aboveground stop.
