Song Hao and his mother show off the free new textbooks he received yesterday for the new semester that begins on Monday. Song, from Shangcheng in Henan Province, is studying in Shanghai at the Hongxiang Primary School in Fengxian District’s Nanxiang Town. Starting this semester, thousands of students at the district’s eight schools for migrant workers' children will enjoy free tuition and textbooks.
