What can citizens, legal persons and other organizations do if government departments do not release government information according to certain regulations?
(11.14.2007)

When citizens, legal persons and other organizations think that a government department has not met their obligation to release government information, they can report the incident to supervision departments or government departments at higher levels. Such departments that receive the report should oversee the case.

If citizens, legal persons and other organizations think that a government department has breached certain regulations and has damaged their own interests, they can apply for an administrative reevaluation. If they are not satisfied with the reevaluation, they can proceed with a lawsuit. They can also proceed directly with a lawsuit at the People's Court.
