Question: I signed a labor contract with a non-local enterprise. Recently, I was informed that according to the requirements of the labor authority where the enterprise is registered, I have to apply for a Labor Registration Card for Employees Who Work Outside Shanghai, so that I can pay for social insurance there. How do I apply for such a card?

Answer: The employer or his/her enterprise representative can apply for this card at a local district or county level employment agent with the labor contract, ID card (or copy), Hukou Book and Labor Handbook.
