How is reproductive health service provided to people at childbearing age in Shanghai?

    In accordance with the International Conference on Population and Development goals and Master Plans and goals approved by Chinese government, Shanghai has been actively launching reproduction health service, experimenting and thus optimizing the promotion model suitable for Shanghai as an international metropolis. People at childbearing age are targeted when providing education, information and service concerning population and family planning, prenatal and postnatal care and reproduction health through a 5-level network, one-stop comprehensive service centers at communities and mass media including radio, press, television and internet. Measures also include transparent choice for contraceptive method. Newly-born population prediction is done to guide families on proper family planning. Meanwhile, population security has its important place, with family planning and AIDS prevention working closely with each other, especially preventing AIDS from the very beginning.
