“Cuba in the Eyes of Chinese Photographers” Photo Exhibition Opens in Shanghai

    To mark the 54th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba and the 50th anniversary of the first group of Chinese students going to study in Cuba, a picture show, “Cuba in the Eyes of Chinese Photographers”, opened on the ground floor of Jing’an Kerry Center on November 20.

    Zhou Yajun, vice-president of the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Lorenzo Rodriguez Ariel, consul general of the Republic of Cuba in Shanghai and consuls general of Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Iran, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and vice consul-general of Peru and a crowd of photography lovers were present at the opening ceremony.

    It is the first photo show in the 54 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, which exhibits nearly 100 works by 10 Chinese photographers on Cuba’s mountains, rivers, cultural heritages, cities and towns and life of people displaying beautiful Caribbean scenery and unique folk customs in the country.
