In the past year and more, the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone has made significant progress in its building and this year it will, in accordance with the state plan, further expand its scope, reform and opening up and draw a new edition of the negative list. We will widely solicit comments and suggestions of the foreign businesses including those from the EU, in an effort to create a more favorable business environment stressing international integration, marketization and rule of law. Shanghai will continue to forge ahead with turning itself into an international economic, financial, trade and shipping center, and will also build a scientific & technological innovation center with a global reach. All this will provide new opportunities for the cooperation and exchange between Shanghai and the EU.
