CIIE will show 'China's determination to hasten innovation'
    The upcoming 2nd China International Import Expo will show China's determination to accelerate innovation, deepen its opening-up and economic globalization, according to a dialogue on the second Hongqiao International Economic Forum held in Beijing on Tuesday.
    The Hongqiao International Economic Forum will be held on the first day of the CIIE, which will kick off in Shanghai on November 5. It will consist of one main forum, or the opening ceremony, and four other major forums.
    The main forum will be attended by 1,500 guests, and the four other forums will be mainly on China's improvement of its business environment, the future of the AI industry, WTO reforms, and the future of e-commerce, according to the dialogue.
    Around 800 guests are scheduled to attend each forum, and the total number of guests is expected to exceed the number from last year. Roberto Azevedo, director general of the World Trade Organization, and Jin Liqun, president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, have been invited to speak at the forums.
