International industrial fair to highlight innovations in colleges and universities

    The 19th China International Industry Fair will be held from November 7 to 11 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year¡¯s fair will highlight industrial innovation in colleges and universities.

    With the theme "Innovation, Intelligence, and Green Development," the fair will designate an 8,600-square-meter display area for housing 68 renowned university exhibition teams, including those from Shanghai Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Tsinghua University. Two universities from Taiwan will also attend the fair.

    Their exhibits will reflect innovative and industrial capabilities of Chinese institutions of higher learning, said Lu Zhen, director of Shanghai Education Commission¡¯s Technology Development Center.

    The participating universities will put on display a total of 740 exhibits, 60 of which have won national major technical awards. Meanwhile, a space of 480 square meters will be devoted to exhibition of 75 university students¡¯ entrepreneurship projects. Road shows will also be held outside the exhibition hall to promote the projects to the exhibition goers.
