Electronic information service facilitates grain harvesting and storage in Songjiang

Electronic information service is making agricultural harvesting process easier and more orderly this fall in Songjiang District.

All 16,000 hectares of farmland in the district have been divided and tagged with land use condition information and included into a big data map.

Now each piece of land has its own ID and the information is available at the WeChat official site"Songjiang Grain."

The platform is used by the farmers as well as local agricultural managing departments. The real-time data can provide accurate information about work progress and streamline the administrative procedures.

In the stage of grain drying for example, the granary will release queuing numbers for farmers who can then swipe the land ID for their grain to be delivered.

The database will be expanded and further improved to provide better service for farmers next summer.
