Shanghai unveils second batch of AI application scenarios
    Shanghai officially released the second batch of 28 artificial intelligence application scenarios, collecting solutions from global AI enterprises on Tuesday.
    Among the 28 AI application prospects, the Pudong New Area is seeking AI solutions for intelligent building, intelligent commerce and intelligent driving. Shanghai Chengtou Environment Company has put forward detailed demand over garbage sorting with AI technologies, covering identification, alarm, sorting, transportation and recycling robots.
    The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology announced the first batch of 12 AI application scenarios last December, covering education, healthcare, community, transportation, finance and governance.
    Shanghai plans to set up 60 AI-powered deep application scenarios by 2020, according to Wu Jincheng, director of the commission.
    Also on Tuesday, the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Security Expert Advisory Committee was set up, with He Jifeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as its director.
