Mayor Ying visits public security command center
    Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong paid an inspection visit to the Shanghai Public Security Command Center yesterday, urging officials to set up an urban operation management and emergency response system with high standards and high intelligence.
    Ying inspected the new command center of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau and expressed his gratitude to the center's duty officers. He also listened to a report on intelligent public security construction along with Chen Yin, executive vice mayor of Shanghai; and Gong Dao'an, director of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
    The construction of intelligent public security is part of an intelligent city and intelligent government, Ying said, adding that the city should push forward the construction of big data center and strengthen the integration, transmission and exchange of information and public data among departments.
    Ying said local officials should accumulate and create more experience on how to manage megacities in order to make urban life more orderly, safer and cleaner, in accordance with the spirit of the important talk given by President Xi Jinping during his visit to Shanghai.
