Shanghai International Automobile City Auto Parts Industrial Zone

    Overview

    Formally known as Shanghai Volkswagen Industrial Park, Shanghai International Automobile City Auto Parts Industrial Zone was founded in 1998 in Anting, an important industrial town in northwestern Shanghai. The project of Shanghai International Auto City broke ground in Anting on September 28, 2001. The industrial park was upgraded to one of Shanghai’s city-level ones through approval from Shanghai Municipal Government in the same year. With a planning area of 8 square kilometers, it became an essential part of Shanghai International Auto City.

    Development Situation

    Years of construction has equipped the park with flat ground, water supply, water emission, electricity, road network, telecommunication, heat and gas supply. The rate of greenery coverage has reached 38%.

    Leading Industries

    The industrial park has preliminarily developed an automobile industrial chain of vehicle body, vehicle door, chassis system, security system and interior system. It is already an important auto parts manufacturing base in China.
