Shanghai Administration of Sports

Main responsibilities are as follows:

1. Coordinate the daily affairs of the bureau’s organs and systems, including Party affairs, administrative affairs, and external liaison affairs. Ensure efficient coordination of the bureau’s leaders’ schedules and provide necessary support and assistance as required by the bureau’s leaders.

2. Supervise and inspect the progress and implementation of important decisions, major events, and key tasks of the Party Committee and administrative level of the bureau.

3. Develop the work plan and summary for the Party Committee, manage the bureau’s work summary, annual work objectives, and various working systems. Ensure the implementation of these plans and systems.

4. Handle tasks related to document processing, archival management, confidentiality and security, document reception and dispatch, government and Party affairs publicity, information disclosure, online government affairs portal, and information briefings.

5. Organize and coordinate meetings of the Party Committee, the Office of the Director, municipal sports work conferences, and other important meetings/conferences, as well as major sports activities.

6. Coordinate and address the suggestions put forward by representatives of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress and the proposals from members of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Committee.

7. Coordinate and supervise the handling of incoming calls, letters, visits, and online petitions received through the bureau’s systems.

8. Coordinate efforts related to poverty alleviation and assistance programs targeting Xinjiang and Tibet, as implemented through the bureau’s systems.

9. Manage sports publicity initiatives, guide public opinions in matters related to sports publicity, and release major sports news in Shanghai. Provide guidance and coordination for media exposure concerning significant sports events.

10. Oversee information construction for the bureau’s systems and provide guidance for the development of its official website, Weibo account, and WeChat account.

11. Promote the advancement of sports culture and provide guidance for sports culture activities in Shanghai.

12. Assume responsibility for internal public security, fire-fighting, safety, defense, stability maintenance, and the implementation of “610” work within the bureau. Collaborate with the municipal public security department to ensure the security of major sports events and activities.

13. Coordinate and execute the emergency on-duty shift and handle the emergency response for public emergencies.

14. Manage the reception for major events organized by the bureau, oversee the procurement of office equipment for government purposes, handle the management of fixed assets within the bureau, and provide logistical support as needed.

15. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Shanghai Administration of Sports.
