Qingpu District's delivery industry sees strong growth

In February, the revenue of express delivery services in Qingpu District reached 12.78 billion yuan (US$1.86 billion), an increase of 20.94 percent year on year, accounting for 85 percent of the city's share.

As the first 100-billion-yuan industry cluster in Qingpu, it includes over 230 express companies, about 200 transportation companies, and the national and regional headquarters of nine express enterprises.

In January and February, the daily inbound and outbound express shipments from STO Shanghai Transit Center exceeded 2 million pieces on average. According to data released by STO Express, the business volume in February increased 70.04 percent year on year to 1.229 billion, and revenue increased 58.81 percent to 2.968 billion yuan.

On March 18, YTO Express released key operating figures for express services in February, with both revenue and business volume increasing. In February, the revenue of express products reached 3.954 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 53.48 percent, and the completed business volume was 1.559 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 61.20 percent.

At Yunda's industrial network in Qingpu, the volume of express delivery has also increased rapidly this year. In February, Yunda achieved 3.591 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 26 percent, the completed business volume of 1.381 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 13.57 percent.

As a barometer of the national economy, the vigorous vitality of express business volume in 2023 became a powerful witness to the accelerated economic recovery and rebounding consumer demand.
