Shanghai gears up for diverse nightlife activities
This year's Shanghai Nightlife Festival was launched at the BFC Bund Financial Center on Saturday.
According to stats from the Meituan platform, online orders in Shanghai at night increased by nearly 40 percent from January to May this year compared to 2021, with consumption after 10pm accounting for 22 percent of late-night consumption.
Nanjing Road W.-Jing'an Temple, Nanjing Road E.-People's Square, Disney, Lujiazui-Shanghai No. 1 Yaohan, and Wujiaochang-Daxue Road are the top five commercial districts in Shanghai in terms of the scale of nighttime consumption services.
In order to enrich Shanghai's nightlife scenarios, this year's festival will release a list of 100 recommended places for nightlife, including 35 landmarks along the "one river, one creek" area such as The River Mall and BFC Bund Financial Center, 35 landmarks in special commercial blocks including Daxue Road time limited pedestrian street and FOUND158, as well as a batch of landmarks in 15-minute convenient living circles.
Meanwhile, the "Shanghai Fashion Nightlife Guide" will also be released, providing consumers with diversified and precise consumption strategies.
Throughout the festival, various exciting and diverse activities will be launched throughout the city. For example, the limited time pedestrian street on Daxue Road in Yangpu District will feature coffee as a highlight while the first Xujiahui Night Life Festival will hold a Xuhui sports consumption carnival, during which over 10,000 night-consumption coupons will be distributed.
